Christie started teaching neighborhood kids when she was 9 years old. Except for time off to perform in Europe & Russia and for the birth of kids, she has been teaching continuously since. This consistent diet of teaching what she learned helped make her the extraordinary pianist she is today. She learned to Master this one area and then apply skills in this domain to the rest of her life. When she says, "a talented student is the one who receives feedback in one measure, and successfully applies it throughout the rest of the piece and the rest of her repertoire," she is talking about more than just piano.

Peery students are developing the same traits. Fluency in the piano to be sure. But, they also are good, hard-working, and social kids who are learning to live well and love life because they are good at it!
